4-year Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas
4-year Medical degree from the KU School of Medicine
4-year Psychiatry residency at the KU School of Medicine - Wichita
APBN Board Certification in General Psychiatry
Integrative Psychiatry Institute Fellowship
National Curriculum for Reproductive Psychiatry
Dr. Tara Richardson was born and raised in rural Kansas. She is a board-certified general psychiatrist, meaning she is able to treat patients of all ages.
Dr. Richardson has a special interest in reproductive psychiatry, focusing on the mental health of women at every stage of childbearing, from preconception through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. This may also include issues related to women's sexual health. She also has a special interest in PANS/PANDAS.
During residency, Dr. Richardson served as chief resident and received awards for excellence in research, teaching, and outpatient care. She previously served as faculty at the KU School of Medicine - Wichita, as well as medical director of an inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit and outpatient residency clinic.
