Dr. Joseph specializes in Mental Health and Medicine management for the adult and older adult populations. She is experienced in treating various psychiatric concerns with both medication management and psychotherapy. Additionally, with her experience is Geriatric Psychiatry, she specializes in optimizing mental health in patients with medical concerns.
About Dr. Joseph
Dr. Joseph trained at Stony Brook University, with world renowned mentors in the field of psychiatry and graduated at the top of her class. In 2009, she completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry and obtained her Geriatric Psychiatry Board Certification. She has also received psychoanalytic training from Columbia University and ECT training from Emory University.
Dr. Joseph has worked as a Consulting Psychiatrist at various Nursing Homes in Long Island, NY, as well as Chief of Geriatric Services at Northwell Health (formerly North Shore LIJ - South Oaks Hospital).
Dr. Joseph has served as a Geriatric and Adult Psychiatrist and as Director of PHP & IOP programs. She also has experience in addiction psychiatry, serving as medical director of drug and alcohol treatment centers.
Dr. Joseph is currently Licensed in FL and Boarded in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry.
