Dr Marco Rabines is a bilingual (Spanish/English) board-certified psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. At his practice in the Bradenton-Sarasota area of Florida, Dr. Rabines takes a personalized approach to care for his patients that emphasizes not only medication management and traditional medicine, but also the incorporation of therapy, spirituality, healthy eating & exercise, and social factors.
Dr. Rabines received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 1994. He continued his training at the Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima-Peru, where he received his degree in Anesthesiology in 2001. In 2006, Dr. Rabines moved to the United States, and later finished his second specialty in Psychiatry at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico in 2011.
Dr. Rabines has had extensive training in his field, allowing him to gain comprehensive knowledge and experience in treating a wide array of psychiatric disorders. His work in psychiatric hospitals in Puerto Rico and Florida has not only allowed him to gain expertise but has also given him insight as to the main problem residing within the psychiatric field, which can lead towards the worsening or recurrence of primary symptoms. Dr. Rabines has opted to take the more novel approach of treating patients by placing a strong emphasis on outpatient care. By doing so, patients will be able to hold on to the social support they possess, as well as have the ability to pursue hobbies and invigorating activities. Dr. Rabines also hopes that with this route of care, patients will also be able to positively contribute to their community as integral and supportive members.
