Dr. Moore is a board-certified Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, specializing in utilizing evidence-based practices to provide individualized, holistic care to adolescents and adults. He has focused experience working alongside LGBTQ+-identifying individuals, individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with trauma histories, individuals managing addiction/substance use concerns, and individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. He also has backgrounds in secondary and adult education and talk therapy, allowing him to utilize these skills in a comprehensive manner alongside each patient.
Dr. Moore obtained a Master of Education degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2011 and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in 2015. He also obtained a graduate certificate in LGBT Health Policy and Practice from George Washington University in 2017 and completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Frontier Nursing University in 2019. He received his Certified Addictions Registered Nurse-Advanced Practice certification in 2019. He currently serves as an assistant professor at the University of Virginia’s School of Nursing. He is adamant about continuous learning as related to emerging research and practices and is a firm believer in utilizing medication management services alongside a myriad of other support services available to patients within the community.

Treatment Orientation:
I aim to offer integrative and holistic treatment recommendations, including non-pharmacological options as appropriate; this means that we'll go beyond talking about symptoms only. I also offer brief talk therapy alongside medical management services.
