Alaya Integrative Mental Healthcare is a telemental health/outpatient practice that does not offer crisis stabilization or substance use disorder services. Controlled substances are not prescribed in this practice. If you are in need of benzodiazepines or stimulant medications for ADHD, this may not be the best practice to fit your needs. Alaya Integrative Mental Healthcare may be a good fit for you if you are already engaged with regular therapy and looking for additional support and/or medication management for anxiety, depression, mood instability, or trauma symptoms. ** Please note that "integrative" mental health care approaches are tailored to the individual and in many instances, medications may be the standard of care and recommended as part of your treatment by the provider. Often, this is not known until after the provider has had the chance to assess you in an appointment.

About Me

I help clients recharge their batteries and regain control of life by working to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, mood instability, and trauma. I believe that Healing = Being heard + Self-Compassion+Symptom Management + Learning New Skills. I do this through traditional means, such as medication management, or by looking for root causes through the use of functional medicine and integrative approaches to care. I heavily incorporate trauma-informed, compassion-focused, mindfulness-based, and poly-vagal informed therapeutic approaches to your care.

I completed my graduate training at Duke University where I graduated with a Master's Degree in Nursing and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I then continued my education at Duke by completing Post-Graduate training in Psychiatry and Mental Health. I completed both programs with the highest honors and am currently pursuing my doctorate degree through Duke University.
