I’m a psychiatrist practicing in San Francisco and Palo Alto specializing in psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, management of psychiatric medications, and psychedelic research.
The foundation of my practice is psychotherapy, as I believe healing happens in the context of a real human relationship. I also have a deep respect for the impact that sleep, nutrition, movement habits, and relationships can have on emotional well-being.
At Stanford I teach one of the world’s first for-credit courses on psychedelic medicine at a major institution, and am part of a team at Yale, NYU, and Johns Hopkins working to create an accredited psychedelic psychiatry fellowship curriculum. I’m involved as a therapist and study physician in several clinical trials of psilocybin and MDMA at UCSF and Stanford to treat depression, bipolar depression, and soon post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder as well.
