Alex McNabb, MD

Dr. McNabb is a board-certified psychiatrist  offering mental health treatment to adult patients in South Carolina, either in-person at his office in Mount Pleasant or online through virtual tehehealth appointments. He completed his undergraduate education at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC and went on to earn his M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of Medicine. He completed his medical internship and psychiatric residency training at MUSC, as well as subspecialty fellowship training in forensic psychiatry.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and maintains memberships in the American Psychiatric Association (APA), South Carolina Psychiatric Association (SCPA), American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL), and Association of LGBTQ+ Psychiatrists (AGLP). Additionally, Dr. McNabb is on the faculty at MUSC as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where he treats patients coming to the emergency room for psychiatric emergencies and patients who are hospitalized at the Institute of Psychiatry, as well as facilitating education and training of resident physicians and medical students.
